Our Instructors
Genna Pratt
Youth Acting 1
Genna started acting at a young age and began teaching as an assistant for classes with Lighthouse Drama in 2015. She continued working with them as a lead teacher and assistant director until their closure in 2020. Genna has been a part of Jupiter Theater Company as an actor since 2019. She has always loved working with children — she spent her teenage years babysitting and teaching children’s ministry at her church. She is pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and has worked at Harrison Street Academy since 2018. She is excited to have her love of teaching and love of drama come together once again as the teacher of Youth Acting 1. She looks forward to meeting the students and watching them discover the world of theater which she herself has come to love.

Anne Bittner
Youth Acting 2
Anne has been involved in theater for 30+ years. Originally traveling with a repertory theater troupe, teaching workshops and performing across the U.S. and abroad, she eventually settled in CA where she wrote and directed plays for both children and adults. She assisted with the Arts and Learning Conservatory in Costa Mesa before relocating with her husband and kids to VA in 2007. Founding Lighthouse Drama in 2008, she taught ages 8-18 in workshops, camps, community outreach and productions until 2020. Her passion is playwriting and teaching theater, helping children to see their potential, hone their craft and grow in character development. She currently works as a Program Coordinator at HSLDA and is a certified Life Coach.

Joshua Ryan
Stage Acting 1
Josh began teaching acting in 2016 as a lead teacher with Lighthouse Drama and continued teaching and in leadership until their closure in 2020. He has seen all sides of the stage, including acting, creating and teaching fight choreography, lighting management, and directing his own short films. Josh’s passion for working with and impacting children has allowed him to work professionally with kids since fall of 2016 in many capacities, such as an outdoor education and adventure instructor at Camp Highroad Outdoor Adventure Camp (2016-2020), private caretaker for Public Partnerships (2019-2020), direct support professional at Grafton Integrated Health Network (2020-2021), and ABA instructional assistant (2021-present). Josh is honored to share his passion for and knowledge of acting with students. There is so much to explore, and he is looking forward to what lies ahead.
